Missing Piece of the Puzzle

Lionel MESSI, Four time winner of the World Player of the Year [ later the FIFA Ballon d'Or] and clubs all-time leading goal scorer, faces two long months out after he tore a ligament in his left knee during the defending Champion's Spanish League match against Las Palmas on Saturday September 26, 2015.

Messi went down after he cut inside from the right wing, and his left-footed shot was blocked by visiting defender Pedro Bigas in the Third minute.

The missing puzzle piece represents Messi's absence from the team. Just as a puzzle can't be completed without all the pieces Barcelona is also not complete without Messi.

Coach Luis Enrique says "I'm sad anytime a player gets injured, and if it's Messi even more so considering the weight he has on the team".

Messi is more than just a valuable player he makes the team. Messi moves the ball with such grace which seems almost unreal. He makes unbelievable goals with the last bit of faith needed to win the game. Messi's injury will definitely give Barcelona a time to shine without their star player, time to prove that Barcelona is number one as a team not only because of Messi.

Messi is said to be out Nov. 21st when they face Real Madrid for the "EL CLASICO", those of you who are not so familiar with La Liga, Real Madrid is their Rival and is the mostly watched game of La Liga. The game is seen as a match between Messi and Christiano Ronaldo (CR7), While I know Messi is the best in the world, many claim CR7 is number one. The game should be an interesting one and hopefully Messi will be okay to play in time.

  1. I am honestly soccer (football really) illiterate but have great interest in this phenomenal game. How should I get started as a beginning fan where should I start following or watching to gain basic knowledge of football?
